This was my scar right after, which I'm happy to report is well healed and hardly noticeable now. Impressive, right?!
At discharge... tired... but grateful to be going home.
I cannot tell you how grateful I have been to all my family, friends, clients and co-workers for their prayers and support. When life doesn't go your way and things look really bad, we're reminded how truly lucky we are when our special folks are there for us and this is certainly true in my case.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor a couple of year's back, but it started causing trouble and so had to be removed this September. The tumor is a craniopharyngioma, which turns out is pretty rare. I had to go to Winston Salem Baptist to get the surgery. Before this most recent surgery, I had two smaller brain surgeries this past January and the September operation was a radical craniotomy and according to my neurosurgeon, a success! As a result, however, I have been out of work from September to December — I have been back for about a month now.
I can't tell you how wonderful it's been to be back and I look forward to getting right back on track. I won't lie, recovery has been one of the hardest things I have had to go through, but the worst is behind me and I'm so excited to be back to work and back to a lot of activities I enjoy.

Thanks again for all your prayers, thoughts and support... they worked!!
